This brief saw me needing to create an image for a training company, for their Photoshop courses. I already had the idea in my mind about this and used an image I photographed in a village called Corrie, in the beautiful Isle of Arran.
The image had a lot of texture and character and the idea was to create something that was vibrant in colour, but still very clean.
I wanted to create the sense of the carving underwater, but didn’t want to saturate the image with blue. What I came up with is the image below showing a sense of oxygen bubbles being released from the carving’s mouth. I also added a mosaic trick to simulate light being refracted from the surface.
